To the Mun and Back Again! The Story of the First Munar Mission

Recommended Posts

After years of planning, years of testing, years of failure, and years of success, the kerbals have finally perfected their spacecraft, and made history. Landing slightly north of the munar equator. Through slight failure and some overcompensation, the fuel reserves were still more than enough to change the record books, and land on the surface of another realm. The Mun. The kerbals measured the mun, and in so doing took the measure of themselves, and the demonstrated the Kerbal\'s full potential.

If this is a double post of one posted a few moments ago by me then I do apologize. Blame my inexperience with the KSP forums and not knowing if the forums update all data on a continuous 30-60 min cycle or if the data is uploaded as first come first served, or if not classifying the post as a '[invention]' toggled a flag for spam accidentally.

The problem with these sort of threads and the in-game footage in general is that it is as such not classified as \'\'fiction\'\' because it\'s not as much invented as it is there in actuality in the game, you didn\'t invent KSP inside your mind, you played it. Therefore, for now, this belongs in the GD. Perhaps in the future we can categorize this better, but for now, this belongs here.

I don\'t intend any inconvenience for you at all. Moved to General Discussion.

That was easily the best Kerbal video I\'ve ever seen.

Having just finished watching it, I find myself feeling strangely melancholy that there hasn\'t been a truly monumental manned mission since the end of the Apollo program... Hopefully Apollo wasn\'t a flash in the pan and we\'ll see a return to the moon within our lifetimes.
