I want to edit the name, description and categories of my subassemblies.
I tried directly from the .craft file but it decategorize them if change the name and is not really helpfull being editing text files outside ksp

There is any mod for this? I searched here and in ckan, but I don't find anything.

Anyone? I need to know this too.

Subassembly vessels are craft files stored in a Subassemblies folder within your save folder. Find them then you can rename the craft files, then open them in notepad and change their name insides to match, and the descriptions inside to what you want.

I believe this may be a stock bug that has been introduced in the last few patches.

It used to be you could grab a subassembly from the list and then drop it again on top of the same subassembly entry in the list and it would allow you to edit the previous entry.  That appears to be gone now, it asks if you want to overwrite but never gives you the opportunity to edit the title and description.

EDIT: Went back and confirmed this on my saved installs.  1.0 had this ability, 1.1 broke it.  This should be entered in the bug tracker.
