Can I import stock part into Unity?

Say, I want to apply minor modifications not doable through .cfg - for example, change a shader. Or even just see "how the part does it" - which Unity objects/properties are assigned.

I know I can load .mu into Blender, export separate objects (grid, collider) as .obj, then import that into Unity, but all the Unity-specific information will be lost. Can I do it? Import the .mu file? Or does Squad provide project/scene downloads somewhere?

...in this particular case, I noticed a set of parts - multicouplers - that cause a very nasty physics bug - when imported into Blender, have two identical collider grids each. If that corresponds to two (identical) colliders per part in Unity, that would likely be the source of the bug.

I asked about exporting prefabs from blender & got a "maybe sometime", but afaik there's no current way to regain the contents of a unity scene. There seems to be quite a lot of info in the blender import it has to be said, but I am not a natural blender user so I don't know how much. I'm fairly sure you can skip unity completely & export straight from blender though so it has to be quite comprehensive.

Hi the big snag with the mu export to blender is that while it's a great tool, especially for mod restoration were the original assets are lost,  it does mess with all the transform rotations, and relevant to your post sticks concave colliders on everything it imports, no biggy once you know what's junk and what's supposed to be there, the point being is that what you see in the exported file is, in my experience, not the exact file structure that leaves unity, close but no cigar.
