[Request] 1.2 Improve map-view signal lines by removing opacity

Problem: In map-view lines are shown between all your Communications Network connections. These lines become more opaque(see through) as the signal strength decreases. Even though there is a sufficient connect the lines become invisible when over the dark starry background.

Solution: Either completely remove opacity, keeping only the green to red scale for signal strength or significantly increase its minimal opacity. Maybe also adjust colors.

I would really like to see this small UI improvement made to the Communications Network signal strength lines in map-view. I'm looking for someone to either just take my idea and make it or help me in making it myself. My programming skills are pretty vague, Visual Studio 2015 is all set up  and the .dlls are imported and I'm aware of https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/api/annotated.html but I have no idea what classes to use or where the opacity variables are. I'll continue to try; any help or suggestions are appreciated.

... No there are options to change the opacity. At minimum it is in the cfg

I'm a bit confused, I've looked everywhere 3 times and I can't find what you're talking about, I don't think its there because:
1. There is no  opacity/alpha sliders anywhere in the in-game settings.
2. in the .cfg @ line 69: UI_OPACITY = 0.5 which gets rest after closing the game but even with the file set to read only setting it to 1.0 or 0.1 does nothing at all anywhere as far as I can tell.
3. I don't see why this would be a user changeable setting at all, its a feature working as intended
the lines get more faint as the signal gets more faint, it just does so way too much.
Sorry if I'm still not getting something.Thanks for trying help!

@Bayesian

Yes, it's in the Main Menu / Settings / Graphics

Under the Rendering column look for the slider labeled "CommNet Line Brightness Factor."

This can also be changed from the in-game Escape menu settings.

I think that's what you're looking for.

Perfect, thank you guys you're awesome.

edit: Just to note, these settings are not in 1.2pre that's why I missed them.
