Hello there (and plane landing question)

First off, hello all.

I bought KSP a few weeks before .16 launched, and had great fun messing about with the spaceplanes (in my case just regular planes)... To the extent which I never bothered to send anything to orbit... 8) I should probably get on that...

But anyways, now with the .16 update, I cannot land my plane. Like at all, I get my vertical speed to less than -5, and touch down, but inevitable after like 2 seconds the plane disintegrates completely.

Here is the plane in question...

And yes, I strutted the heck out of this thing after the first failed landing, but that didn\'t seem to help.

Any help would be appreciated... But anyways, I\'m off to build my first serious attempt at a rocket.

EDIT: Hiyo, actually got something into orbit... And then EVA\'d Jeb a few times, because it is kinda fun.

Maybe your tail fin is snagging the ground. Try putting on your rear elevators on more horizontally so they don\'t hit the ground. Or maybe you were going too slow on the landing and your plane stalled out and hit the ground too hard. Just remember when landing keep your nose up slightly, keep your speed steady and don\'t slow down too fast. Just take your time line everything up and you should be okay. Oh and when you do land don\'t brake as soon as ya land. Let your plane slow down on its own for a while then tap the brake til you stop. Hope this helps!

Yeah, I had to angle the tail fins down like that to avoid them melting in the engine exhaust, but I can see if I can push them up a notch without problems.

It does make taking off rather touchy though...

I think I am about ready for another try at this (I just successfully landed Jeb on the Mun)
