Brotoro
Doesn't seem to be as much venting vapor today. Must be weather-related. One minute. And we have liftoff! Max-Q. Onboard video now. MECO. Successful staging. Boostback good. Good view of nose cap falling past second stage nozzle. Booster is heading back to Canaveral....onboard video great. Entry burn! Good onboard and ground tracking video Beautiful views! Wild gyrations!

sevenperforce
Booster started rolling wildly, the grid fins started flipping back and forth, and they cut feed.

CatastrophicFailure
In the drink. Well, at least they've demonstrated that the "aim for the water till the burn starts" trajectory works...

Ultimate Steve
Well, I've seen a semi-exciting failure live now. Dragon is okay, so yay. I'm thinking it was a problem with the grid fin control system from the brief video I saw.
Delay
Now I'm interested. Why did the landing burn not start / falcon "land" in the water?

Cuky
Just now, Delay said: Now I'm interested. Why did the landing burn not start / falcon "land" in the water? If I have heard correctly they announced "landing burn started" in the coverage
sevenperforce
A piece flew off of the booster during coast before entry burn. I saw it float back and clip a grid fin. This is not good for Elon's insistence that powered landings are sustainable for human flight.
