Non-clipping parachutes?

I remember a while ago there was some kind of mod (or may be something to do with one of the mods I already use that either isn't working, got removed, or something else) that made parachutes actually behave like they would in real life, ie, they don't clip into each other and actually spread out.

I specifically remember this affecting Cobaltwolf's Apollo parachutes and I think the radial parachutes from RealChute, and indeed I could have sworn this was something that was added to RealChute but there again I could be wrong. A general search hasn't turned up anything for me so now I post to figure it out.

Parachute Spread in Stock Bug Fixes, The mod was made stock.  Turn on advanced tweakables.

It is on indeed, and I see nothing different. Game is updated and what not, so something has to be either breaking it or stopping it from working. Could it be realchute?

Yes, RealChute replaces the stock parachute module.

It is not possible to eliminate the clipping because the parachutes do not have real physics simulation (and I highly doubt any mod has ever added real physics to the parachutes in the past).

You can, however, adjust their spread so they don't contact each other (and also looks more real).  It's right there on the right click menu if advanced tweakables are turned on.  If you aren't seeing it either Advanced Tweakables isn't turned on, or a mod is overriding the stock parachute module.
