weird orbiting things

Hi,
so I started playing career for a while and after some time I noticed THIS
what is this and what is it related to, how can i use it? at first, I thought its an unknown asteroid but i cant choose the orbit and nothing is orbiting on it, and also i had no contract with the company in the picture
this appeared when my tracking station was at level one, and it's still there after i upgraded it to 2, and there is another this kinda orbit (in blue) too, I would appreciate any help

and also yes I spelled satellite in the wrong way

Look at the contracts being offered to you in the Mission Control building. Someone wants you do something at the orbit indicated by the green line.

I like how it's showing Apoapsis but the company name is Periapsis Rocket Supplies Co.
