Hey, I would like to make a mod (a parts pack to be exact) but I don't know how. I have some(ish) programming experience, but I don't know how to start, how to actually make the mod work and what software to use. It would be nice if one of you experts gave me a tutorial or something on how to get to modding. It would also help if you told me how to make textures.

Im on the same level as you so ill refer you to tutorials via the internet and IMO  (In My Opinion) its great to get tips and advice from skilled mod creators. So see a tutorial online, get a online coarse like square space and more or do what you did and ask a skilled moderator. 

NOTE! It is important to get a 1 trusted and 2 experienced creator because you (and a lot of other people) can mistake misleading people with skilled creators.
