How to remotely control a lander.

Recommended Posts

There is a wiki page that gives an approximation also. https://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/CommNet

You should be ok if that's what is on your lander and it's on the kerbin side of duna. Beware of the potential for aero forces in Duna's thin atmosphere, they might be enough to snap off the deployed antenna, in which case you'll be stuffed without a backup.  I tend to prefer fixed ones for anywhere with an atmosphere.

Hey, so yeah I landed on duna, Yayyyy! but i accidentally broke one of the antennas, i was Able to get a weak connection to kerbin using both antennas but now the other one is destroyed sooo...

I wont be able to rendezvous now. Goddamnit.

I was actually trying to access the science experiments that I stored in a service bay by the eva jetpack and it BROKE!!!!!!;.;

Please, Please tell me there is a way to rendezvous without maneuver nodes?????

Ok so I guess i can still rendezvous because my mothership has a pilot in it.:D

Update, so I didnt have sas so the ascent was the worst in the world like I am facing prograde for a minute and retrogade, radial in, radial out for another. So I ran out of fuel before reaching orbit. RCS thrusters galore! So finally, all kerbals are safe.
