CKAN (The Comprehensive Kerbal Archive Network) - v1.33.2 Laplace - KSP 2 support!

I think the revamp of the recommendations page is one of the biggest improvements here.  I've seen so many people with (justified) issues with that experience, and it's so much better.  This is a great release, congrats!

The CKAN client v1.35.0 "Oberth" is released!

This is a very big release (...)

Wow, you're not kidding! I've just spent a fascinating hour reading through details of all the changes (because I'm nosey/paranoid =:o} ) before trying out the update, and I have to say I'm really impressed not only with the work being done to improve the "user-friendliness" of CKAN itself, but also the clarity and professional tone of all the explanations. In a world where so many devs seem to think terse, non-explanatory (and sometimes downright rude!) "communications" are good enough, this is a delight.

My thanks to HebaruSan and all the other contributors  for what looks like an awesome update.

Now... I wonder if it all actually works...?

Hi, having trouble with CKAN not starting up. All it gives me is this when I try to open CKAN.

Not sure what most of it means, only started doing this today, maybe because of the new update?

Hi, if you're willing and able to pitch in with investigating this, I have posted a summary of what it means and instructions for contributing on the GItHub issue for this:

Just got notified to update CKAN, so did.  Chose to update dev version, and maybe that was a bad idea because CKAN now has the "update all" hilited but when I click on it it flashes and nothing changes.    KSP starts fine.

The CKAN client v1.35.2 "Penrose" is released!

Just a few small fixes:

  • Missing files can now be marked as intentionally-so, using either install filters or a new label setting
(and Janitor's Closet has already released an update to integrate with this)
  • Apparently a lot of people's Steam installs contain corrupted files, so now CKAN is much more tolerant of that
  • Fixed a visual artifact with enthusiastic use of labels

Thanks to all who reported these in the just-over-a-week since Oberth!

Hi!

I had noticed that the latest TweakScale Companion ÜberPaket, published on SpaceDock last 9th (Wed) wasn't indexed yet on CKAN-Meta!

There's something I need to do to fix this? This is causing some trouble on the userbase...

Thanks.

Thanks for the alert.  Problem ID'd here: https://github.com/KSP-CKAN/NetKAN/pull/10246#issuecomment-2407281368

Updated CKAN and now Kerbal inventory System and World Stabilizer want to update.  Did that and when starting KSP MiniAVC says some files need to be pruned and KSP restarted.  Then it works fine, I guess, until the next time I open CKAN and those 2 need to be updated again.  Do it, the MiniAVC deletes some files.  Done this 3 times so far.
