NutellaSandwich
Alright, so after seeing the post "Finally got that gold foil off of the windows" I've been thinking, what about decoration inside of the cockpit, and outside the cockpit. Now, inside the cockpit, I don't want for players to select the decoration inside ( they can also turn off the decoration), I would like the decoration to be randomized, maybe a book there, or a air freshener. I don't wont it to be super noticeable, but if you look for it, you can find it. For exterior decoration, first the paint jobs ( probably already going to happen ), second I would like to see small spray painted prefabs ( a kerbal or a rocket or something). Then, I'd like text which would be set to the name of the mission.. Please give your ideas on this subject.
starcaptain
When it comes to the cosmetic appearance of things like vessels and bases, I think we're in store for more of the "making it up as you go from existing standardized parts" than it will be having some kind of custom shape and color editors. The game is primarily a physics sandbox, not a free-form modeller. Adding the cosmetic editing changes the scope of the whole editing side of the game dramatically. Nate Simpson's said before that they want the game robust for modding, so I imagine cosmetics is going to be the bread and butter of many mods. Making your vessels like they belong in Lego Blacktron Spaceballs The Expanse Homeworld Iria: Zeifram Neon Genesis Evangelion Lazytown etc. will most likely be the work of people with a hobby in mind and lots of free time, rather than things specifically enabled via paid staff. jastrone
it would be really interesting with inside of cockpits to actualy be usable. so for example if you just want an airplane to go on kerbin you can choose to not have life suport so that its lighter or cheaper.
