whytho
I havent bought the game yet(waiting for the Christmas sale) so im asking how much fps would the game run on medium-low setting on this pc- https://www.amazon.com/HP-Desktop-Computer-Package-Keyboard/dp/B07SBK9LRY/ref=sr_1_5?crid=2BCUDEM41UFW8&keywords=cheap+pc&qid=1670189842&sprefix=cheap+p%2Caps%2C174&sr=8-5 thanks alot
Vanamonde
Oh, hello. Welcome to the forum. I am not a techie but that PC appears to be several generations newer than what KSP (now around 11 years old) was written for, so it should do fairly well. However, KSP's physics calculations can slow even better computers if the ship has a lot of parts.

Thanks for your opinion, not planning to build rockets with too many parts, just like simple space stations and missions to duna, but how much fps will i get? Again thanks alot

Again thanks alot As Vanamonde says, ships with lots of parts can cause drops in fps. There really isn’t a “simple” space station with few parts. They really add up quick. And as they said, that machine is newer than most machines that run ksp acceptably. Giving you a hard number will be tricky unless somebody wants to sit through a benchmarking, which most people won’t do with vanilla ksp, as the people who would be willing to benchmark ksp just mod the hell out of it. Simple answer is, will it run KSP? Yes, but it’s not a gaming machine so we really don’t know how well.
whytho
True, i bought my PC looking for the cheapest model possible, and it can run project reality so i guess i'm fine. Anyway, to a completely different topic all together, when will the Christmas sale start? The game is like 40 dollars currently.

The stores decide when to have sales and how much to discount them, so we don't know.

Ericwi
This is not a good computer even for what they are asking. Might find something better on ebay with a video card in. This is kinda e-waist. (top ebay search was https://www.ebay.com/itm/304041042675?hash=item46ca4222f3:g:J8MAAOSw9lFjcBPT&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4BoGlRO1hXndK%2FJ9oXSDUWk3qYYcZV7hmki6cJ8r3%2BM9CtNWExagZU4kOrvzPrnDa9dhtDpTKYXC7Z8zKRnE7fJocHI%2BKTlcfz%2BfBjPYAT031mWBAjnaCBhmFa%2BJYdAmiE1YHmk9KfQDCrDom%2BLmVMWqOLf1%2F2pwdfBVkVyY%2BNe%2Bk7QI9ZFzuqevcgvzkiySaMtXiWmPj5w4oJ56Q0M8V%2FqOE2hxEJCJ5emPRZcJrQOFV1pPM%2BmFd6K0AwOz3Jl5eT%2BBQMbEvuK5NE0I6CrxcxH%2BYS1XEgIEIliKerWCLodJ|tkp%3ABFBMisPMupxh is much better at the same cost) To answer your question: KSP does not use much for FPS, as much as physics updates or 'ticks.' This computer will have trouble. Hard pass.
whytho
Thanks for your feedback, that was a bit harsh tho considering what the mods said
GuessingEveryDay
My i5-6400 can do 40 fps with the lowest settings and stock, along with 8GB of RAM and Intel graphics, so you can expect something more than that. Spending extra for a discreet gpu is far better than using intel’s e-graphics.
Jacob Kerman
Im gonna be honest, if your ship has more than 200 parts, were you're going, you dont need frame rate. and before you say, " but I dont need that many", my universal lander has 43 parts, and lifter, CSM, and Lander, 147. 25 fps. Yeah. And I can guarantee that thing will NOT, and I repeat, NOT run KSP2 above 30.
