The Aziz Posted February 12, 2023 Share Posted February 12, 2023 (edited) There are mods to get Mars and the rest of our system, along with the rest of "hardcore" mechanics, and visuals, but unless you want to go exclusively unmanned, you'd have to deal with Kerbals. Or install this. Either way, they don't do much aside from being in the corner of the screen, and eventually you'd be controlling one to plant a flag, do some repairs, set up experiments etc. Perhaps Orbiter is the better choice for you, though it may lack on the "visually stunning" part. But I wouldn't leave KSP just yet, because the spaceflight simulation is quite accurate even when it's slightly simplified for gameplay.
