Imac launch stuck - loading asset bundle definitions

Recommended Posts

Imac Ventura 13.3.1

I have installed KSP1 2 months ago, from KSP website directly, no mods, all was well and I visited a few nice places in the system... until I had to reinstall all the hard drive from a SPACE TIME copy.

Since then, launch of KSP is stuck at "loading asset bundle definitions".

I tried a few tricks I found on the forums like the command-move of KSP.APP to desktop and back, but nothing has worked so far to reinstate the full launch.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Fabio

(sigh) Always the same. I need to ask the question to someone else and only then do I find the solution myself,.

I had originally placed the KSP folder in the Applications folder. I noticed that several people in the forums recommended to place the KSP folder directly in the (username) folder for whatever reasons. I did and KSP now works. I just copied the entire previous folder to macinstoch HD/users/(myusername), I have not even deleted the previous folder, and all went well when I started the program from this new folder.

So all is well now (so far), and thank you for those who proposed this solution into subdiscussions here and there.
