Hot to do a simulated test flight with the alt f12 "cheat" function

I have gone brain dead and can't remember how to a simulated test flight from the alt f12 menu

Can't seem to phrase the question right in the search option to get an answer

Please help me out

What test were you trying to do?

Run a test flight  of a lander that is in the VAB. I think I have seen it done in some of the videos on you tube.

Alt-F12: Cheats: Set Position: set the altitude (and location you want) and then uncheck Ease to Ground and then Bombs Away!

exactly as @Hotel26 said: basically, "running a test" means that you bring the lander on the planet it's intended for, try it, and then revert the flight.

it means, for example, that you can cheat a tylo lander in orbit and see if it actually works at landing on tylo, without having to go through all the hassle of sending it to tylo in the first place
