Jeb is the ultimate astronaut!

So I was de-orbiting one of my spacecraft and the whole thing was going well... until.

I was at 15000 meters and deployed the parachute... it broke.

I was panicking at how to save Jeb and as the meters counted down, came up with an idea, EVA.

So I had Jeb jump out and start thrusting down to slow him down. I was coming in too fast and thought I wasn't going to make it. I then hit the ground hard and jeb bounced upward, my mouth gaping in amazement Jeb hit the ground again and came to a stop. He stood up and looked behind him just in time to see his spacecraft crashing behind him. Nothing surviving.

Jeb is a hard headed little blighter isn't he? Lucky he didn't land head first on anything important, like the KSC

That's a cool thing that happens now and then, but it's actually not supposed to work, so don't count on it as a landing method.

If he went on EVA I think the flight time starts at 0 for the EVA pilot

Jeb is harder to kill than a Terminator. His spacecraft are not usually as lucky.

Yeah, I had one of my guys survive a trip all the way back from the surface of Minmus using only his jetpack, after my silly rocket fell over and left him stranded.

I wish I could say it was Jeb, but he exploded earlier in the mission when trying to jetpack down the the surface of Minmus from orbit
