Suggestion: Maneuver Node Burn Bar Should Be Squared

Recommended Posts

As the title suggests. I think the burn indicator bar, when executing a node, should be squared rather than rounded for the sake of precision. It's difficult to tell when EXACTLY you should stage on that bar, or when you should stop the burn because of the rounded corners on it. Does anyone else feel the same?

I think that would help, but I think it would be even more helpful to have a dV counter showing how much dV (including decimals when it gets really small) is left in your burn. The burn indicator bar is fine for rough burns but when you need to be super exact it's not very helpful. Also, imagine if, on your navball, there was an "Opposite of maneuver node" marker you could auto-point at for when you did your burn just SLIGHTLY too long and you need to reverse!!!

There it is. It definitely should be squared off AND count down and I love the idea of an anititarget for burns as well as encounters. I’ll offer one more: its cool that the countdown dots go from yellow to green but make the green light bigger and turn the yellow lights off on zero/go so its really obvious that it 3-2-1-GO.
