Auroras do stretch down below the polar regions on Earth, depending on the radiation levels and energy (EM radiation energizing the electrons that are part of the gas molecules) so with all of the radiation in the path of Laythe's orbit the auroras could stretch down to the equator on occasion.

I'm not entirely sure how you would render those except as a set of planar meshes, so do some research to make sure you find the best way. :)

maybe cloud fractals stretched vertically to give it a volumetric effect

I love "trippytrip" thats awesome, the bent steel, the cold feel of the planet, you did a great job.

Looking at it for the first time actually made me feel bad for the Kerbal(s) that may or may not have survived that crash. Now they're on this desolate, and freezing planet.

But Rareden does absolutely amazing work, and i'm sure whatever he does in the future will look amazing aswell. :)

Did you like my idea of making Eve a landscape of crystals Rareden?

indeed i did, was working on it, but took a break to make a simpler one because making that level of detail and such is rather difficult and time consuming, but i am working on it

It will be in about 2 years, most likely, after it's gone into beta and it's gotten massive graphical improvements.

Or ENB is made for it, either one.

Especially with the new performance improvements they're doing. Where only relevant planets (based on where you are) are loaded. Something like this without putting too much strain on computers might be feasible.

The last one is really beautiful. Is this a real Landscape?

no its not real

No, I think. It looks to different. The Trees, and the Island like Landscape.. Not Kerbalish. :)

depends where you are,
