I was wondering... what are those nifty achievement badges that people have in their signatures?

As others have already noted, if you're stuck somewhere in the game, feel free to ask in the How To section. I also maintain a small link library called the Drawing Board (link in my sig), which lists a number of tutorials and other resources. You can also share your accomplishments and videos in the Mission Reports and "Live from Mission Control" subsections as well, if you're into that sort of thing. Above all, just take a look around, and don't be afraid to just jump into any conversation that interests you.
