Hey guys,I saw some dude discovered a duna like planet today and I wanted to make something to discover ALL the planets/moons in the kerbol system. (The moons could be a planet,it just has to look like that type of moon. And vice versa)

So far here is what I got. (Ill put screenies of the planets/moons if I found it)

Duna and Ike have been found, their names are:

Duna... 22 And 4

Ike... 22 And 4.1

22 And is their star's name.

Considering I like searching around in SpaceEngine regardless, searching for Kerbal Space Program planets seems fun.

Sign me up. :D

Edit: I think I found a Tylo-ish body. It is a white moon with craters (it looks like Tylo to me OK?). It is even orbiting a green gas giant!

I don't know how to post screenshots from SpaceEngine, because I forgot where I put my SpaceEngine folder, so here's it's name:

Wow, this changes everything! If I have the name of some star that you found in space engine, and I go to that star on my own computer, it looks the same and has all the same planets :D

Now I just need to figure out how to copy paste in space engine

Great news! I found 2 jool like gas giants,1 pol looking planet AND 1 tylo looking moon!

Alright, the name of the star(s) (there are four :D) is RS 8405-6-8-3521941-256

Edit: Found a Eve looking planet!

Star's name: RS 8405-6-6-55193-705 Planet is the eighth from the star.

The only downside is that it has rings, but hey, if Eve had rings, it would look beautiful. Plus the rings are not the noticeable.

Plus plus, its star is a yellow dwarf, just like Kerbol

Star name:

RSC 8404-8009-2-28-1931

Planet name:

RSC 8404-8009-2-28-1931 A4

(such creative names, I know)

Its a Oceania/Terra with life, and it has tons of oceans, and islands similar to that of Lathe.

The unacurate things are: A planet, not a moon, no gas giant, in a globular cluster (but, y'know, its beautiful so, meh), FOUR stars

I've been throughout the SE Milky Way Galaxy, and I've found planets similar to those in stock and modded KSP. Here's a list of stock planets in SE:

  • Jool (I found several Jool-like gas planets)
  • Laythe (It's a habitable world with jungle-filled islands like on Laythe)
  • Eve (Every single habitable desert planet with purple life)
  • Gilly (It's so easy to find:sticktongue:)
  • Duna (Also sort-of easy)
  • Tylo (Giant "Super-Earth" selena-class moons of gas giants)
  • Bop (Easy to find, too)
  • Eeloo (It's a no-brainer: Europa)

It would be fun as well if we could expand the search to planets from other sci-fi or fantasy movies/books whatever! I wonder if it is possible to find a gas giant with life, like Bespin from Star Wars!

Bespin doesn't have life, but I have found planets similar to it in color. One problem: They're Hot Jupiters, and they're gray. Planets like Bespin are possibly near impossible to find in Space Engine, as of version 0.973.

Just today, I found a gas giant very similar, if not identical, to Lomina from the mod "Extrasolar: Planets Beyond Kerbol". Both are blue, cool ice giants with rings divided into multiple gaps. Both have 5 moons. In fact, two of those moons are nearly identical. The middle moon of the SE Lomina is an oceania like Javine, and the second-to-last moon of SE Lomina is a purple desert like Deemo. I have never found more than 1 SE-KSP similarities from the same mod around the same planet, which is also similar to a KSP planet.

I also found another purple desert that, despite being ocean-less, is a lot like Eve. I also found a ringed Duna-like moon, a cool gas giant like Jool, and an alien version of Laythe with green skies.
