Clouds will be static in VAB only, apparently sort of a small test for when clouds are implemented in the real game.

Mostly because it doesn't make full usage of modern multicore cpu's. True story. And a familiar one, hmmm maybe the comparison is better than you think!

On the stream, they said that the new buildings are actually less resource-consuming. So it's an optimization as well.

And pretty! They also seem much bigger now.
