Agreed. I found Memes funny 3 years ago, but 90% of them have zero shelf life, are overused, and the general format stopped being amusing the second the masses found them.

To be a meme, the image needs to be in wide circulation, most so-called meme's are one-off images with no real meaning or recognition by the wider internet community.

In other words, a pic with some text just doesn't cut it, it has to spread and be widely known for it to really be a meme.

Also meme's are horrible little things, moving to a more suitable forum......
