@ panfish There is some weird stuff going on in this persist.

One of my fighters is missing (either 3 or 5, you didn't say which one you killed) and one of your ships spontaneously exploded (jb2) when I loaded my remaining ship:

I tried reloading the persist but my ship is still missing (sadly jb2 didn't explode this time), if you could let me know which one you killed ill replace the missing one with one with an identical amount of ammo (unless you have an unbroken version of the persist?)

I shot down number 4 and i dont have a good persist just replace you lost ship.

There is nothing wrong with it just needs some adjustment rather than starting from scratch.

It's wrong in all the ways that it was modified from the Nautilus' base hull. Everything I "improved" about it wound up being a problem, so I rebuilt from scratch this time instead of using the Nautilus as a base.

yeah using ships as bases are hard. Most of my rebuilds are from scratch, but copying the old ship.

Well, I don't have any ground or air based designs, I cold join as the spaceforce for a team but i have no interest in developing planet based forces.

So when the Orks attack, your colonies will be toast. WAAAGH!

It seems no one is interested in my tl;dr challenge.

Oh why not... I'll take up your challenge, but it'll take me a couple days to raise an airforce (im terrible at building planes), army, put ships into space, and put a base somewhere. Mostly because i'm going to want to do it all without hyperedit so i actually have to drive/fly everything there :P

So who wants to do a large-scale conflict?

Location: Kerbin System (Kerbin, Mun, Minmus)

Maximum Mass: 1100 t

Space Vehicles: 5 @ max 440 t

Atmospheric Vehicles: 5 @ max 440 t

Space-Bases: 1 @ max 200 t

Ground-Bases: 1 @ max 200 t

and doesnt this add up to more that 1100 tons?

Yes it does. It allows the player to choose where they want to put the extra tonnage. All-together, your forces should be no more than 1100 t.

Edit:

It's okay to take a couple days first. I expected that few people would already have space, land, air vehicles and military bases.

Ohhhhhhh okay i get it now, was just confused i guess.

I mean i have some stuff for land and air drafted up, but never really completed designing.

Is it okay if i set up first? probably only gonna go a few km from KSC so i'm not driving for hours on end O_o

and im assuming we just put our forces around our base or something?

I knew I forgot something.

-When you set up, place a flag somewhere near a coastline.

-Place ships and bases within 50k of the flag.

-If, at the beginning of a turn, any vehicle is on the surface of Kerbin outside of 50k from the flag, that vehicle is disabled.

It was a perfect shot, cant deny that, pretty much the only place you can 1 hit that ship. Fancy a rematch? I've got 3 ships setup at Vall: http://www./?rebey40ndsntvcg

Its 680, and 2 370 parters placed a few km apart.

sorry, but I tried it twice already and the lag is simply too much to actually play on...

we could try 2on2 corvette combat though :)

Alright finally got my turn done.

I am pretty sure that I killed that drek because I destroyed the capsule and the original power module and when I inspected the ship the only powered core I could find was from missiles.
