The launch will take place tomorrow(september 25) at 4H58(EDT)PM and the coverage will begin at 4H00(EDT)PM.

NOTE:the launch(in russia) will take place the september 26,but because of time convention,if you live in the EDT time zone, you will watch the launch the september.

EDIT(yes,I put edits in the middle of the page):in UTC,the coverage start at 20:00(8:00PM) and the launch start at 20:58(8:58 PM).

The coverage(and launch) will be shown on NASA televison.

Here's the link:

http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html

This launch will bring expedition 37 to the ISS.

Have fun!

Wouldn't it be better to put times in UTC? After all, this is an international forum... EDT is no better than any other time and it's very confusing to people in other time zones. Time given in UTC is easy because everyone knows the relative "distance" from local time to UTC.

EDT is UTC-04:00 (EST is UTC-05:00, but it's still daylight saving time), therefore the launch is at 08:58 h UTC, with the coverage starting at 08:00 h UTC.

Agreed. Launch times for these threads should be in either UTC or launch local (preferably both.) Thanks for starting the thread. Here is a link with info about the launch:

Note that the rendezvous of Orbital Science's Cygnus demonstration craft has been delayed (after a GPS glitch on Saturday) to accommodate the arrival of Soyuz TMA-10M at Station.

So it's 20:58 UTC? (AM/PM only adds to confusion, again one of the things most of the world avoids)

Yes, launch is on Wednesday 25th at 20:58 UTC. I agree that 24-hour format is preferable, I just meant to indicate that the OP's times are PM.

I made some changes to the thread page,I have to admit that the first version wasn't gery clear(sorry).

For the curious, the first version didn't specify if the launch was AM or PM and the hour were given in EDT only.

Again, sorry about that,I will be sure to not make the same errors next time!

When will they dock with the ISS?

Coverage is from 7:00pm PST to 8:00pm PST IIRC. That would be 0300 - 0400 UTC, I think. Maybe add another hour since we're on daylight savings? I can never remember.

E: Yes, that UTC time should be correct.
