skbernard
I'll do that. Maybe that'll do it?EDIT: Nope Nah that wouldn't have done it, but it should improve overall performance (once you get past this crash bug)It's likely just a RAM issue, probably too many mods installedYou're not gonna like this but pull out b9 and nova and give everything a goIf that works then start adding one back at a time You can also try removing parts from those packs you know you don't use

As for the RAM issues after loading KSP with all the mods (minus the buggy file) it might be it. Or that file conflict. I'll check and post the results. What could be more useful than saying, "I have fifty mods installed, so if that helps, yeah. Please do all the testing and fix it for me."Are You suggesting I might have a few to many mods? Well, I know how to fix this! MOAR BOOSTERS & STRUTS!!! nuclearping
Same happened again. Returning from a Mun mission back to Space Center scene. The null reference exception is due to the fact that it can't find the KSP space center. I don't bother checking it, because in normal operation the KSC will always exist in the KSC scene. Either KSP glitched out, or you have a rouge mod deleting the Space Center PQS.

skbernard
i am going to say that the atmosphere lacks an ozone layer to absorb the majority of UV radiation/light which in turn causes the composition of the atmosphere to fluoresce - currently the atmosphere contains oxygen, we know this because of jet engines working there, but they are less efficient, meaning a less favorable concentration of gases, perhaps on Laythe there is an abundance of neon and mercury in the atmosphere, each fluorescing red and blue respectively...damn, i am going down a rabbit hole... now to figure if this is correct i need to find the temperatures of laythe... brb Edited September 16, 2014 by skbernard

skbernard
ok so its not warm enough to vaporize mercury, nor is there a lack of atmosphere to vaporize it... consequently portions of the planet are sufficiently cold enough to solidify it... i must postulate some more...ok i got it!... fused silica... we know that laythe is currently a sandy planet - lets say that during its creation from a protoplanet when it was sufficiently warm, it fused some of the sand that is now found on the surface and created deposits of fused silica - over years of erosion the fused silica has been broken down into tiny particles which now float as dust throughout the atmosphere - AND because of the lack of a UV absorption system by the planet these fused silica particle exhibit phosphorescence and give off low wavelength blue light - due to solarization of the silica, they can even turn a shade of purple...BOOM nailed it.... someone check my science... Wedgenet
The "nightlys" should be used for testing, the Overhaul "Releases" have been depricated in favor of a more automated release mechanism. As the Overhaul releases have been deprecated, what build do you recommend I use for Real Solar System? NathanKell
No, what's deprecated is the Releases on the Release page, not the x64-release or x86-release on the main page of the Overhaul branch. It's a bit confusing, but those are the latest releases of Overhaul.
