missing biomes!

I've noticed that many distinct areas of planets have a lack of distinct biomes. It would add a lot more immersion and fun. Here's a few missing:

I would absolutely love for someone to add these biomes in game, along with Krag's planet factory. They don't even have to have messages like Kerbin and the Mun do. I would be content with the biomes!

Speaking of which, would it be possible to add biomes with mods, or would it require breaking into the game?

I believe there is a "canyon" biome on the Mun, at least according to the colored biome map here: http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/File:MunBiomeMap.png

Also, using the source for Krag's Planet Factory mod I was able to add new planets that, through the mod's use of vanilla planets as templates, have the same biomes as the template planet. What's even better is that they don't overwrite each other ( the "Shores" biome on my planet "Mirror," a copy of Kerbin, have a separate science from the Shores of Kerbin itself). The only drawback is that they still have the same science value as the template planet - even though I had Mirror orbit the extra sun, Serious, it still had the same science point values as those of Kerbin, which are nearly worthless at that point.

As such, the planets from Krag's Planet Factory that are based off of Minmus ( i.e. Ablate, Ascension, Inaccessable, Pock, and Joker), probably have the same biomes as Minmus proper though the heightmaps and textures won't match.

P.S. The mod I made is only used by me and is never going to be distributed, so it never existed. o.O
