Unused mods folder

A small but useful addition to the game would be a folder to store mods that the player may want disabled, but can ordinarily only do so by moving the mod file out of the KSP folder onto the desktop. A player may want to disable a mod to reduce lag, to participate in a challenge, or to avoid conflicts with another mod, and this would allow for easy storage of unused mods.

Nb: While it could be possible to manually add a folder for this purpose within the KSP folder, the side effects may not be pleasant.

Create a folder in your KSP root, move mods there as appropriate. Disabled mods stay with the program, no changes needed to the game.

There will be no side effects as long as you create a folder for this purpose. KSP only looks in specific folders for the files it loads. Keep the mods out of the Parts, Plugins and GameData folder, and KSP will not load them up

You know you can move files to other spots than just the desktop right?

just a note, KSP doesn't parse zip or rar files, i just zip my mods and leave them in place when i want to disable them

I've got a special folder like that, made myself. I never have anything except shortcuts on my desktop.
