Space to store experiments and reports.

at 0.22 I had no problems storing alot of experiments without transmitting,but in 0.23 something changed and I can store a very small amount of experiments.Since there are no "data" parts,that could give space or "mits" to store more experiments,is there a way to have something that would let you store more experiments?

(I've heard multiple pods can do it)

You are correct to say each pod can only hold a certain amount of experiments. I too found that out that hard way. Experiments inoperable and nowhere to store the data.

It should not be too hard for the modding community to build parts to store science data.

Perhaps a part that continuously consumes energy depending on the amount of data stored. If you run out of power samples get 'contaminated' and/or data is lost.

that would be a great idea,but as long as the game isn't boring for me,I prefer to do everything the vanilla way,so multiple pods flyin to eve.

Many people have proposed to turn this little guy into a data storage unit, as it is useless right now.

That model would indeed be ideal. Or at least until something even better is available.

I've been digging through the Mk3 Cockpit part.cfg to see what makes it accept science.

But nowhere have I found anything that defines how many experiments can be stored.

I was just about to plug that part myself It works fine in 0.23, and is actually even more useful now that you can transfer data using kerbals on EVA. I've used them to transfer crew reports from my command pod to the external storage, so I could do another crew report from the same area. (I didn't have an antenna to transmit, so I had to recover as much as possible)

This would mean I can put my experiments on my lander base and leave then on the surface, only bringing the data back to orbit.

Downloading and installing as we speak. I just hope it's in a tech node I have already unlocked.
