Do you ever hyperedit just because you are lazy?

Recommended Posts

For me, HyperEdit is nothing but a toy that I can use to make interesting environments.

Sadly, my computer couldn't handle it.

--STUPID POST QUOTED HERE--

Please. Learn to respect others, will you? You aren't supposed to be a zealot.

I know. I was in a bad mood, and I have edited the comment accordingly. I apologize.

No sarcasm intended.

PS. Good flying!

Yes, because getting into a perfectly circular orbit or rendezvous with 18gs is easy.

And yes, I do use hyperedit just to get things into orbit around kerbin, extremely rarely.

I was in a bad mood. I'm sorry, and I have edited my post accordingly. I hope you weren't permanently offended by that =D

It is true that 18Gs is hard to control actually, however in atmosphere the drive only gets about 5m/s. (You should know; you built the most stable drive out there)

Happy flying!

I should clarify that while I may abuse Hyperedit, it's only ever done in my older versions. 0.23 won't get it until 0.24 becomes my main.

As for the 'lovely' person who commented regarding hyperedit being for losers and for us to join that little warp drive dev thread, let me ask you this: Where are you going that you need that kind of delta-V? I mean, with Hyperedit, you could put a planet out there that you could go to, but that'd make you as much a loser as the rest of us.

Oops, didn't think about that, did you?

I'm sorry. I was in a bad mood for things not related AT ALL to KSP. I would like to apologize for my senseless behavior (which, on hindsight, is like an 11 year old). Thank you for this comment; it helped me realize my "idiotness" when I'm mad.

I use to use Hyperedit very conservatively, ie only really for testing or dicking around; but the more I play the more I get bored when I have to spend tonnes of time launching countless nearly identical components to far away places (for things I'm building for my own amusement of course, no Hyperedit for challenges). A rule that I find balances things out nicely is I have to deliver the first and last components the ol' manual way, but if those go smoothly I'll usually hyperedit the other sections in instead of taking up sometimes huge amounts of time overseeing an assembly line of identical launches and transits.

Do the difficult and groundbreaking parts myself, hyperedit the dull parts, and Mechjeb inbetween:D

occasionally. if i want to test something out (when using FAR and especially deadly reentry, its not that clear sometimes if something will work), but i always revert the flight after i have the needed informations.

i call it "HyperSimulator" ;)

Only to put payloads in the Kerbin SoI. And only after I've personally put a payload of similar weight into the Kerbin SoI.

I'm building a station around the Mun? I could send 30 rockets, spend 20 minutes each time getting them to the Mun and send them back again. Or, after I've made the trip first time around, spend 20 seconds HEing the various parts into Munar orbit and go from there.

Which would you rather do?

Nope. I think I did do it one time out of frustration because I knew I should have been able to launch something but the game was giving me too much trouble with it. But generally I only use it for testing things like other mods.

And P.S., regarding the HyperSimulator, I've been thinking for a while that'd be an awesome new building for KSC. If nothing else, just an empty space with no gravity where we can test our ships to see if they can dock, etc.
