Ballast!

What I would really like to see in the next few updates is some sort of ballast that can be placed on ships/space planes to balance them out. I'm not sure how heavy they would be but seeing as the only was to currently keep your COM centered (more on space planes then rockets) is to put a bunch of structural parts in a vague attempt at pushing the Center of mass backwards or forwards/side to side. I think it would be more useful to have different sized & different massed parts solely used for weighting the ship

Don't want to kill your momemtum Cpt. Kipard, AlchemyTechnologies parts set have already small cylinder, 0.625 diameter, ballasts (from a few kgs to 5 t), with decoupling feature.

I didn't know about that mod thanks. Looking at it now I can see all those weights look the same, Additionally I suspect some people might not want the decoupler. What I'm working on is more greeble-like and doesn't detach. I think I'll continue.

i usually just use fuel as ballast. it also doubles as an emergency fuel supply.

You can always use a fuel tank with amount of fuel tweaked to required mass as ballast.

Yeah, KSPX has radial fuel tanks which work.
