bsquiklehausen
Are there any plans for an SM? Something like this perhaps, but with more of a stockalike engine.Like that? Probably not. I'm not a huge fan of big multi-purpose parts in KSP. We are planning on a small set of parts to allow for the creation of one though! (Small engine, fuel tank, RCS tank, etc.) Nothing's set in stone though - so you never know.

Because that's something we really need.Really, though, why I suggested that particular idea was because this pod (and an SM like that) plus the Habitat Pack would make a very good Bigelow Commercial Space Station analogue. Problem is there is a Aerojet Rescale included too but I think it is still a bit unbalanced, stat-wise. But I wanted to try and make a Aerojet config for TweakScale and a SDHI config is already bundled with TweakScale so that would be easier I think
ArcFurnace
A small suggestion: with the newer versions of ModuleManager, you could edit the RasterPropMonitor patch by adding :NEEDS[RasterPropMonitor], and it would apply the patch if and only if RPM is actually installed. That way the patch file could be left in the GameData folder to begin with, instead of needing to be added manually if you're using RPM.Like so:@PART[*]:HAS[@INTERNAL[TaurusCockpit]]:NEEDS[RasterPropMonitor]{ MODULE { name = RasterPropMonitorComputer } @INTERNAL { @name = TaurusCockpitRPM }}

Vladthemad
Alright, I followed the instructions for installing the taurus-patch.cfg for RPM...the problem is that it only adds one monitor. If you look at the fourth pic in your imgur slide show, where you have a full view of the control panel, the only one I have showing up is the one just left of the throttle. The rest are missing. We're also in the process of creating a set of new CSM parts for the Taurus and those should be done soon enough as well.

But if you want to release all your new additions at once, I am cool with that too. Your mod , you decide

I thought to look at the other command pods, and found that only one other mod added one had this issue. All the originals, which the latest RPM added configs for, and KSO, which was recently updated, worked fine. Thanks for the info. I have way more pods using the latest than not, so I'll wait on an update instead of rolling back Z3R0_0NL1N3: As far as a "service module", might I suggest looking at Near Future Propulsion? There are two parts that are a size smaller than...you know what, a picture is better than a description. Here's something I set up in about 30 seconds with parts from Near Future and Procedural Fairings:Note: The fuel tank above the engine assm. also holds 80 units of mono...so you don't *need* to add extra...although the way I tear through mono I personally would add some Also, solar panels might be a wise idea. What do you want, I did it in 30 seconds! Ha! Edited July 3, 2014 by Vladthemad
jnrobinson
Version 1.1.1 ReleasedThis is just a quick hotfix to fix compatibility issues with RPM .17. In addition, I added a couple words to the ModuleManager script that removes the need to copy the patch file in separately.unfortunately, RPM updated when I was in the middle of a backpacking trip and I wasn't able to get this patched until today. As always, Curse may take up to a day to approve the update. Personally, I recommend that you use KerbalStuff. In addition, I'm trying to fix the phantom torque that is being caused by the LES thrusters. This is a picture of the Taurus in the VAB with the RCS Build Aid mod turned on:As you can see, even though the LES are all placed symmetrically and KSP reports that the center of thrust is directly below the center of mass and pointing straight down, RCS build aid is still reporting a leftward moment of 34.85 kNm.In a previous release, I cheated and put a fake thrust transform inside the capsule to fix this issue, but I've decided that I need to fix this issue once and for all.Does anybody have any ideas where this moment is coming from? jnrobinson
So we've been holding on to this part for a bit waiting for .24 to come out so we could just do one big update, and it finally came out, so here it is:The Science Processing Bay SPB-HUGE-3 is a 3.75 m combo science lab and storage bay. It functions just like the stock science lab, but uses a little more power, needs 3 kerbals, and gives your data a slightly higher transmission boost. Also, it has 4 doors that open up to expose unpressurized cargo bays, which you can stock full of science parts, RCS, solar panels, KAS parts, Kerbals, and more.We also made a slim 3.75m stack separator, which is mainly intended to remove the need to use that gigantic stock decoupler on your CSMs.I also balanced costs to fit with career mode. Using the Taurus should be slightly more cost effective than using a Mk1-2 pod and a Hitchhiker.Unfortunately, neither Curse nor KerbalStuff have updated to let me mark my files as .24 compatible, so until then the download will only be available on Mega (sorry). We will remedy this ASAP.EDIT: Download now also available on KerbalStuff.CHANGELOGv 1.2 (7/17/14)-Added new part: a 3.75 m combination science lab and storage bay (with doors!)-Added new part: a 3.75 m slim stack separator (dual-sided decoupler)-Modified textures on heatshield fairing-Balanced cost values for new parts-NOTE: Science bay requires firespitter.dll to use doors in VAB Edited July 17, 2014 by jnrobinson

bsquiklehausen
I've just updated the Curseforge version, and it should be fully up in around an hour after the review. Unfortunately, I can't update the main post to re-include the Curse link. Here it is, and we'll get the main post updated ASAP.CURSE DOWNLOAD: http://kerbal.curseforge.com/ksp-mods/220213-taurus-hcv-3-75-meter-stockalike-crew-capsuleAlso - feel free to let us know what you want next (preferrably all 3.75m parts to match the HCV). We have some ideas, but we'd like to see what people other than us want, too! For now, the next update will potentially just be adding R&S to the list of in-game companies - I have it working right now, but I need to play enough of the career to reach our own part! Rassa Farlander
Wow this looks great! I like the new part! Ive always like the Taurus and now the Science Module is an unexpected surprise! Does it have an IVA? because that would be awesome I would like to see some more 3.75m parts to go along with this set I usually use KW for a service module parts set, but Id still like to see what you guys come up with maybe something like a 3.75m +4 kerbal lander can of some sort? Anything you guys have made so far looks amazing so I have no doubts whatever you make will be great:) Thanks for the hard work!
okan170
Makes me feel like each of the manned pods should have their 1, 3 and (7) crew versions. Like a crew tank in those sizes, and science lab, and landercan. That'd be an interesting way of having parts to choose from.
KeithS
I've downloaded the 0.24.0 compatible version of the craft and I'm seeing an incompatibility notice on KSP startup about Firespitter. Did I miss something? I downloaded the craft from Kurse in the last few minutes and it showed an update on Kurse very recently. Running KSP OSX version if that matters at all. bsquiklehausen
Game seems to freeze when trying to load the cockpit's internals on startup...Very strange - I've tried to replicate that (testing on Win32, Win64 and OS X versions) and I couldn't make that happen. Could you post your mod list and version? Thanks!
