I've not seen this before.

So I was landing on Minmus and dumped my travel stage which consisted of a Rockomax decoupler, a Rockomax X200-32 fuel tank, and a Skipper at roughly 2k altitude. I've done this many times, and usually everything blows up on impact. After I landed I see this:

I've never seen a part embedded like this before. Luck, glitch, or new feature?

I recently had something survive unusually as well. For my returns to Kerbin, I usually drop the bulk of my spacecraft after getting close to terminal velocity. My lander/pod will usually separate itself quite some distance from the ejected stage before the chutes open, and the ejected stage will almost never survive. On one of my return missions this week, I splashed down and recovered, then noticed in the tracking station that something did survive. So I looked, and the whole darn stage survived, unscathed:

EDIT: Actually looking at the timestamps on my screenshots, it landed before the ARM update, by a day or two. I discovered it survived, after the ARM update.
