Imma be real I've been slacking

But starting from now i'll have plenty more free time to work on soyuz, so expect some new things soon. I have the RD-108 almost ready in-game and the RD-107 coming sooon.

I can't believe I pay you $80,000 a year to develop Tantares and you reward me like this.

@BealeFYI, the latest LV version file says the max KSP version is 1.11. I am sure it is a typo, but it might confuse people.

Thank you, I will fix.

Where Did you get the Odyssey from? I know someone was working on one for Kerbal Konstructs but I never saw a release

It's from an unavailable version of Kerbinside. I just changed the scale and the textures a bit

Is this for 2.5 up scale?

Yeah. Katniss makes things for RSS. Both their Cape and Baikonur mods have been resized down to 2.5x for KSRSS by two different, generous forum members. Don't expect perfection out of either - they're being shoehorned into a smaller size and don't line up with existing terrain in exactly the same way as I'm sure they would in RSS

Why does the LK-700 building guide tell me to use the Castor "Sprengningsnal" Aerospike? It doesn't seem like there is an aerospike on the actual LK-700 ascent stage.

Tantares doesn't have the correct engine (yet), so the build guide uses stock parts as a substitution where necessary. I would suspect that it's chosen based on suitable performance characteristics, but that's really just a guess.

Never really know much about the IRL engine, so tbh you can just use any small vacuum engine and it doesn't matter much.

A little burnt out on the MEK project, won't lie, so what I'm going to do is:

  • Tidy up the orbital station, electric engine rig, nuclear reactor, and mars ascent vehicle.
  • The Mars descent vehicle will be shelved, until finished one day (tm).
  • The additional orbital tug, and earth return vehicle will get the same treatment, but they're fuzzier.
  • You'll have to BYOML (Bring yo own mars lander).

Release this as a nice polished up release.

I know this is a bit of a shame, but motivation comes in bursts. And the MPK (Mars Descent vehicle) can be a bit of a frustrating beast to work on. I also have a small KSP side project I want to work on in the meantime.

In the meantime I have added system heat support to the MEK nuclear reactor, radiators.

I understand your feeling, when the time comes I believe you'll manage to make the lander work. By the way, I'm a big fan of your work! I wish the best for you
