Saving Calming Kerman

Calming Kerman is in huge problems, he was eva during a ship transfer then the game crashed.

Now Eva pack ® don't work neither does (f) for grabbing the ladder in image, he was inside it just before.

Light and crew report work but dont help much.

Any tips on how to save him?

Have tried to grab him with an claw, this did not work he was inside the claw but it refused to grab him.

KAS (kerbal attachment system) could not attach wire or radical attachment node on him.

Next try is an sort of box who is locked by landing legs.

Perhaps try an external seat, though if the jetpack and grabbing functions don't work, that probably won't. Instead, send another ship up with a Claw and carry him back down, a la Squad's Summer Sale video!

just go to your save file, and find him in the save, and change his state to 0 <which is inside the astronaut complex>. I would use this as a last resort if any of the above doesnt help him out

Is he showing up in the map as a piece of debris rather than an EVA?

If you want to save him super badly, you can go into the save persistent and set his state and idx to 0. That takes him back to the astronaut complex.

First I managed to stand another kerbal, I exit the game while he was in eva.

Next I used the bucket method to grab both and land them.

However think I will update the game yes, my problem is that I'm going to minmus with an huge space dock and if this happens where its not so simple to recover the kerbal.

No the chair don't work either had chairs in the bucket in case they could use them.

I did it my rendevouzing with his pod, have im EVA and use his jet pack to fly to my rocket, grab on the the pod and boarding it. If you're using a pod that only seats one Kerbal you'll have to transfer your pilor to an empty seat, in the mk1 crew cabin for instance. Job done.
