How will you prepare for 0.24?

We all know this update will make the game a lot harder.

We all know reusable craft will be vital.

We all know you will hack science points in order to have Sandbox with budgets.

How will you prepare?

I'll prepare with a cargo STS-style shuttle that I'll show once It's finished.

Nothing at all. As in "Not play much until .24"

I'm so bored with it, and so ready for new stuff. Hopefully, contracts will cure the "Ehrmegherd new update must play *Plays for a few days without stopping* Ehrmegerd I've done everything *again*" syndrome I've experienced on every update so far.

Get as far away from KSP as possible.

There is still time to play other games before First Contract comes out.

And from what I have seen, it doesn't look all that hard, at least in the early game.

Basically created myself a variety of craft and saved to a file to load into .24. Kerbal Movers, Cargo Movers, Probes, etc. Also a few more flags along the way.

This one is a rough draft.. Dinkelberg may change to Dinklestein.

PROBABLY not, though you may want to wait before using the new engines with Engineer

As for me, I already took away the desire to continue playing 23.5, knowing that .24 is closely.

Usually some mods need tweaking but partially work, and others work fine, and a small handful will be broken. It depends on whether the new version changed parts of the API that the mod relies on.

Backed up 0.23.5 to another folder and cleared out my old steam KSP folder.

Play other games till 0.24 and then spend the next hundred or so hours playing KSP again

Well Lets see, here is what I did to prepare:

Trash is out

Litter boxes are clean

Weeks grocery shopping is done.

Carpets are vacuumed

Floors are mopped

Laundry will be done tonight.

Knowing my luck it won't be released until next week (or later).

Just gonna sit around and wonder how many mods that, while seemed innocent and innocuous before, now really unbalance a game that takes into consideration budgeting, failure reputation, and fuel costs.

I mean, how is Kethane gonna be balanced against the new version? Or super-parts like those in Interstellar? It's gonna be a lopsided show for a while.

I'll be preparing the same way as all true Kerbal believers will be:

3 days of fasting and purging

17 hours of self flagellation

6 hours of ritual Manley worship

30 minutes of holding hot engine parts as a test of faith

and finally 15 minutes of cursing and casting out Beelzebub, the bringer of slow download speeds

I'm going to sleep as much as I can tomorrow because I think it's going to drop that evening.

Other than that, nothing. I'm trying to finish my Jool mission on my video series so I can start fresh right away without that hanging over me, and Jool is not cooperating AT ALL. But other than that, I'm just going to start a new game and go for it.

I don't know. I might actually start a career save, since I've never really felt that career mode had any "spirit" in the past. But I'd be lying if I said contracts don't attract me.

I've backed up my saves, and all progress on anything has come to a standstill. I'm going to have to be extra careful with my saves since this update may be a save-breaker.

Also, before every update, I like to take a week or so away from KSP just so when the update does come out, I feel all fresh and ready to get stuff done.
