Trick For Properly Spacing Satellites in Kerbostationary Orbit

Recommended Posts

I'm sure somebody else has thought of this before, but I can at least claim to have invented it independently in my own struggles with Remote Tech 2.

The Problem:

Knowing where to put your maneuver node to do the burn from LKO so that when your satellite reaches Ap out at Kerbostationary altitude, it will be in the right place relative to KSC and/or other satellites already up there. If you don't know where to put the manuever node, you might have to waste a lot of time in a higher or lower orbit to slide the satellite into the correct position.

The Solution:

A simple device anybody can make for themselves, assuming you start from a 100km orbit, and don't place the node more than about 1/4 of an orbit before your ship reaches the node.
