Weird KSP Habits?

So yeah, what are yours?

Mine is basically that I always start KSP as SOON as my laptop boots up, even if I don't intend to play. My "explanation" for this is that it allows me to create my sudden sparks of inspiration that never make it to the forums...

1) I make a separate quicksave of every step of a mission:

- DresSSTO1orbit

- DresSSTO2atDres

- DresSSTO3landed

- DresSSTO4... etc.

2) I exit game with Alt+f4 . _ . it takes too long to exit to space center, then to menu, then to main menu...

My weird habit is that no kerbal can land on another world until there have been at least 10 robotic missions successfully land there. The kerballed craft will then be built using the exact same specs as the last lander, even if the science equipment on board is useless. It's become worse since I turned off quicksaves and reverts.

- Closing KSP after about 30 minutes because my laptop fan sounds like an airplane. ;.;

- Spending more time on the forums and on youtube looking for what other people build than actually playing.

- Deleting one save after another because I don't like this mode anymore and realizing later that I was very far in the tech tree ._.

- Not deciding on what to do on my sandbox world. Built space station, accidentally quick loaded but forgot to quick save before, aaaaand now I'm back at the start of my Sandbox save game. :P

- Exiting game with cmd + q (like alt + F4) because too lazy to go through that menu and the game autosaves always.

- Putting one mod out and back in after half an hour because it first annoys me but then I realize it was nice. (repeating..)

- Lifting 360kg Kethane Scanner Satellites into orbit with Mainsail Engines.. well, at least I tried at first. But some li'l boosters and 30 Thrust on the second stage are enough.

I have a new habit in 0.24, not sure why it felt natural to change my game play to do this, but, now all my new, untested manned spacecraft designs get flown unmanned at least once before I put a Kerbonaut aboard. Part of this new game play is that I am refraining from using revert in First Contracts because I feel it invalidates the value of cash balance as a score card. Crashes should cost me money. So, I don't risk pilots on unproven designs. Now, the line between minor modification and what consists of a whole new design is somewhat arbitrary and inconsistent ;-)

Old odd habits: use retro thrust from engines to course correct on rendezvous (you point further out on a line drawn between heading to target and the relative velocity pointer on the gyro ball) rather than trying to line it up on forward thrusts towards the target.

slow craft landing by parachute with a little engine or even RCS thrust just before landing. Even deliberately design craft with fare less parachutes than necessary but use parachutes to control the descent and direction rather than apply all the needed breaking.

I screenshot EVERYTHING... seriously... I have-(checks steam)-1014 KSP screenshots. Somebody stop me! I need help!

Is that just the latest version? I had about 3000 in 0.23.5, 2600 in 0.23...

Strange habit... hmmm. I tend to get kerbals out on Eva and warp for a while when they are landed, just to make sure they get a decent amount of time on that body, even if I don't do much with them there. Is that strange?

For some reason I keep making spaceplanes to carry ever-larger quantities of Kerbals into orbit on ever-more-absurdly-small amounts of fuel relative to how many Kerbals are going up. This is much easier with the RAPIER engine having shed half a ton of mass, and I can now get 17 Kerbals to LKO with an orange tank's worth of fuel and still have an embarrassingly large amount of fuel left over (around 17%).

For some reason I feel like a launch isn't successful unless I'm moving at 300 m/s by the time I reach 18km. Usually this isn't a problem since I'm normally there by then anyway, but it leads to some weird behavior when I'm not.

One flag per biome of Mun and Minmus is required. One for the other planets and exomoons, surely I'll get to all of them in one save one of these days. :) Screen shots for each stage transition the first time a new ship is used. Then only for cool stuff. Debreis on land stays as a memorial. And, apparently from recent experience, I have a habit of booting up KSP, realizing I need to update a mod and then closing KSP to update the mod. I then boot it up again while looking at other mods. Of course, I find one I want to try and then the process repeats. :)
