Well, even if it is corrupted (there is certainly something weird going on, because I have been experiencing things like sudden losses of all orbital velocity, ships randomly detonating, etc.), I can still display the new iterations of my fighter and flagship:

The improvements have increased my total tonnage by nine tons, but, as I was previously unaware of the misreported-masses bug, my fleet is actually significantly lighter than I thought: Even with the additions, total mass is ~293 tons.

Well, thats at least better news than for me. It turns out I have to flash another, different ROM to my tablet. I cant transfer my old, stock os. So, its bricked till then.

I believe it is, so go ahead. That KRKN cruiser's a nice target. :P

Go on, I dare you

She has "Electronic Countermeasures" once you get near her. By that I mean she causes LAG, whoever tries to come close to her . Targeting might be slightly frustrating.

Me too look at my ship, It supposed to be 251.66 tons now it's only 233.04 tons. TAKE NOTE ON THE TOTAL MASS ON THE INFO ON THE RIGHT

Why would you need an 1151-part warship? My most part-heavy warship is the Behemoth, at 450. The Vehemence can outclass the Drek in a third of the parts - 400, to be exact. Speaking of warships, I will be putting the finishing touches on Deliverance this afternoon (it's currently 6:49 AM, and I have school). Until then, happy hunting!

FallingIntoBlack- That's because of my special heavy armoring, and sturdy construction which is a part hoarder. I once tested a mainsail rocket at her in which she survives. Check out my Reactive Armor System and how it works on my page (click the Squid Picture, Kraken in my Signature) browse and read. That's the reason I'm part heavy. I'm testing my new armor and seeing how she would hold up. I designed her to survive. I'm not experienced in weaponry so I'm counting on my armor instead to live.

The misreported mass bug has been there for a long time, it's not just this battle / this save file. I've noticed it on my previous battles too. The mass in game is correct (or at least agrees with the mass reported by KER). The mass reported in the tracking station is wrong, and is almost always too high.

sudden losses of all orbital velocity, ships randomly detonating, etc.

Actually, speaking of that, I was fooling around with my ships and testing out their armor. I shot at the Hermes with Script's Feeling Lucky and knocked a large piece off. Less than a second later, the Feeling Lucky exploded spectacularly. After more experimentation I found that the piece that got knocked off flew towards the Feeling Lucky at high speed and hit it.

I understand, but I think my ships are good, armor-wise. At least, the Vehemence-Class and Swordbreaker Mk III are. The Vehemence survived being rammed by a Swordbreaker, which also survived. It was also tested in combat by HatBat against his Aegis. It survived not only the battle, but also crashing into Gilly (okay, mostly survived - the engines were destroyed, but the hull was intact and the crew survived).

I haven't tested the armor capabilities of the Behemoth Mk II yet.

So, do I need to try and make a "fixed" version of the persist?

I shall try again with your persist, but if I lose another ship to spacetime anomalies, you will need to re-upload.

But the ships that have randomly exploded during my testing were not under fire or even under attack, and were both yours and my ships; another bug that has happened repeatedly is a sudden, random orbital velocity increase or decrease (the plummeting bug is just a particularly extensive case of this) which propels one ship away from the targeted vessel.

Yes, the piece shouldn't have flown back like that. I think it was the orbital velocity thing you're talking about, with the main core of the ship retaining velocity and the piece knocked off suddenly losing it. The attacking ship was retrograde to mine so it would make sense.

Three1415 ejudedude13 sdj64 and ScriptKitt3h if you can, please post pics of what you are talking about and what's happening with the battle. Has anyone taken a turn yet? I'm blind here. I'm really at a loss on the current situation please post the persist if someone is done with their turn. I would like to know what's the order of turn once again.

Please rename the file according to the turn so that we will not be confused. (specially a large battle like this)

Example:

DunaTurn0.sfs (Setup turn),

DunaTurn1.sfs (First player turn),

DunaTurn2.sfs (Second player turn),

DunaTurnX.sfs (X player)

and so on.

Someone should keep track of who's turn is it and post a regular update on the thread so that when others read this thread they will not be confused and they can follow the current battle.

Example:

Turn 5 (Three1415's turn): persist link here.sfs (remember the turn number) then post pics of whatever happened (always remind the next player of their turn)

Turn 6 (ejudedude's turn): persist link here.sfs (remember the turn number) then post pics of whatever happened (always remind the next player of their turn)

Why? That doesn't make sense... unless they were pushed, or they got caught in Ike's SOI from Duna orbit.

They will get caught in Ike's SOI since they are in Duna orbit with different periods than Ike but within the altitude range that Ike's SOI will catch them.

Nobody has actually taken a turn yet. We are just testing and finding some glitches in the save file. Does anyone have the most recent uncorrupted file?

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
