Two Ideas

Hi everyone!

I have played KSP for countless hours now (although I'm sure Steam have counted them), but I havn't posted on this forum much.

I have two cosmetic ideas that I think would be nice:

* "Hall of Fame" in the Astronaut Complex, in which plaques commemorate milestones in the career game with date and name; e.g. "First Orbit - Jeb Kerman y 1, d 22" etc.

* Aging for kerbals that have been away a long time. For example, after one year of traveling, the kerbal gets a short beard, which then grows longer and eventually turns grey.

A kerbal returning from Eeloo maybe have been away for 30+ years and comes home with long white beard and can gaze upon his younger portrait in the hall of fame, where it says "Billy-Bobrie Kerman, First Kerbal Foot on Eeloo, ..."

hall of fame: a good idea. has been mentioned before. would be complemented by adding cameras and photography to the game. so the player could take the picture.

aging: this is actually a really fun idea. I would love to see my kerbals getting scruffy over time away from Kerbin. also a good visual indicator that they have been on mission for a long time.

I definitely agree that some sort of achievement tracking would be both really easy for the devs to implement and make playing a significantly more satisfying experience. They could even add some sort of Kerbal tickertape parade cutscene for particular milestones like first return from orbit or Munar landings.

The bearded Kerbals after long missions is cute, but I'm not sure it has quite the ROI for the devs of the other idea.
