Locked Staging

Im trying to get a station in the orbit of Mun and when i got in the gravity pull of it all of a sudden the staging is locked. I already made sure i was out of time warp and the the Alt+L was not on. I have no idea what happened and don't really want to make another trip, tho it is really easy. Ant and all help will be awesome.

when you say all of a sudden the staging in locked could it be that you've only tried to stage when you needed it or could you stage before SOI with Mun changed and now can't. I ask because I'm thinking this is more of an issue that you undocked the ship from another ship at some point and thats what caused the staging issue. If you have a ship which is docked to a launcher etc it will lose the staging for engines etc. what are you trying to stage? what is meant to be happening when you stage?

Out of power? If you can't rotate your ship either, that'd be it.

Also, don't try and stage in map view. And make sure your mouse is not over the staging icons.

Make sure your mouse isn't hovering over the staging icons. For some reason Squad thought that was the logical place to enable staging lock.

Kind of an obvious reason: you don't want to accidentally hit space bar while you're rearranging things

That has never ever been a problem, though. Completely unresponsive ship with no apparent cause? That *still* happens to me even though I know about this.

Eh, there's been a few times where I've hit spacebar when I don't mean to. Or when my cat's done it for me lol

But have those times ever been when you had the mouse in the staging area, so therefore got saved?

Honestly, I don't know. See, my space bar doesn't make a noise unless I hit the thing (i.e. press it normally ). When my cat does it, it's completely silent and the only indication I have is the ship I'm flying suddenly staging

In any case, if it can happen while not mousing over the staging area, it can happen while you are! Honestly, it's such a minor thing and so easy to make it not be an issue (keep your mouse cursor over on the right hand side of the screen when you're not using it ) that it really doesn't matter that it's there if it doesn't help you
