  1. Also, there are reasonable explanations as to why people might want something like this. Testing or practicing maneuvers without concern about fuel - young players etc...
  2. Great comments. Learn to use the navball. Learn what the symbols mean, and steer using the navball rather than the viewscreen. Works way better, especially when you land on the dark side of the mun.
  3. Good news: Successful landing on the mun, no Kerbals lost. Bad news: We landed a bit too hard, and the engine was destroyed. I hope they packed a lunch.
  4. I love it! I had suggested an even larger lander, and a series of impractical parts whose sole purpose is to make it a challenge to get them into orbit, or onto the mun. Like a 20m diameter lander with a casino on top? - extremely heavy and lots of drag, the point being the challenge of getting it safely to the mun. Or a one-piece space station, because kerbals are so practically minded. Instead of launching in small payloads, use moar boosters and send it up whole.
  5. Since we\'re discussing possible parts projects: What about a series of completely impractical parts whose sole purpose is to make it a challenge to get them into orbit, or onto the mun? Like a 20m diameter lander with a casino on top? - extremely heavy and lots of drag, the point being the challenge of getting it safely to the mun. Or a one-piece space station, because kerbals are so practically minded. Instead of launching in small payloads, use moar boosters and send it up whole.
  6. Off-set wing design. It costs just as much as an attached wing, but weighs far less...
  7. Mine is reliable at least. Simple, functional, all standard parts... Just one problem.
  8. My most recent rocket exploded on the launch pad. Somehow the engine pasted itself against the side of the launch tower, and continued burning without any fuel source, and the crew module landed safely for no apparent reason. Screen cap attached.
