  2. I feel like I'm playing pre-commercial release again, back before Kerbin even spun on its axis! Who needs the map! I love the new career mode in .90.
  3. Congratulations as being appointed The United Kerbal Federations New Space Agency Administrator. As you know this is a political appointment that lasts 5 years, do a good job, and the prime Kerbal will appoint you for another 5. Bringing prestige to your program is the best way to ensure your reappointment, and as such your goal is simple: shower this new agency with as much glory as you can, making it the crown jewel of our planet. This is certainly a different type of challenge. Most challenges involve some kinda build or flight rules. This challenge requires good flight skills for sure, but will also require diligence and good managerial skills. The goal is easy: Highest prestige after a given amount of time. I am going to keep two main scores: 5 years and 10 years. One reason I am running this challenge is because even in a hard campaign I'm finding money a non-issue. Given time, I can do any mission I want, science is just a grind, etc, and I suspect many of you are in the same position. So this is about using the most of what you got, and really pushing that bottom line. To really achieve victory multiple long duration missions are going to have to be going at once. You can't afford to be sitting on good money that could be earning you prestige by flying a new mission (with contracts) while you wait for your Duna explorer to make its interception. I bet I'm not the only one who runs these long range missions completely before continuing. I know for a fact, I could set up my Jool intercept, and work several other missions going while it is in flight. This is the challenge, run not just one mission, but the entire agency. Maximize resource utilization, and bring GLORY to your space space agency. The hopes and dreams of billions of Kerbals rests in your administrations hands. Rules: 1: Must be a career (obviously) 2: Must be on hard difficulty 3: Vanilla parts only 4: No physics mods or other game play mods that in any way effect income, prestige, science 5: No cheats obviously 6: It will be hard to verify, but please try to avoid an exploitative bugs/cheats/etc, no kraken engines, no ifinigliders, etc... If you feel that a ship is dubious don't use it 7: Even 1 second over time will disqualify you, must be in kerbal time (not earth) 8: You may use the same save for both entries. 9: v. 0.25 or later I reserve to right to change rules later if I find I forgot anything.   5. yah I changed it, 5 is too many, one good orbit is all I really need. If you do more, best will be taken of course.
  6. I love the music you choose, nice low orbit. With the acceleration of the game it looks like the little guys are dancing. Height 36626 at apex, very nice.

  8. invalid challange? I would like to see you hit 34.5 k and orbit 5 times, with out any corrections. It's all about control, can you do it?
  9. That's right, this challenge is all about low orbit. Measurements will be from the Apogee. Must orbit 1 time, with out power, the highest Apogee being the 'final' count. Then must land safely. This is all about control and perfection. Stalk parts only.
  10. This is a challenge for the highest circular orbit with a safe return. The spec are, that you must make 2 complete orbits of Kearth, with no power. Evidence must be taken to prove such great feats. Highest orbit will be measured from the perigee. So radical ellipticals be ware. You must then return to the surface of the planet safely, a safe landing or else! All parachutes deployed, with a m/s of 15 or less will be considered safe, if they blow up upon touch down due to terrain bug. My call. STANDARD PARTS ONLY. I have no submission for this yet, but I do know my best so far has been a 500k, so I figure others out there can do a lot better.
