  1. Wow thanks a lot! Very helpful information! Last night I tried to go back to Duna. I placed myself in a orbit around the sun above Duna. Of course I could land on Duna... in maybe 100 or so years when duna comes up behind me. Bad planning LOL
  2. Ok, I have launched into space and landed on the mun... Wasn't terribly complicated. Just wait for the moon to come up on the horizon and fire till you are influenced by it... then retro when you get there to form and orbit. I landed on minmus by playing with the Mission Planner. And Duna... well that was what I hoped for... but no idea how to make a real plan. I know I burned up a ton of fuel not needed. So my guy is stuck there. What I find fascinating and would love to understand is how people would plan a big mission before they even launch. Curve around the sun to gain speed... use jupiter to sling you around this orbit and then finally land on the planet you desire. There must be a way. I want to adventure to all the planets for sure but would look a lot more prepared! Any of you have stories or advice I can use to accomplish this. Is this going way overboard? Thanks, FlyMario
  3. Ok so I have been wanting to build a pretty big space station around Kerbal. I would love to store some huge fuel tanks in space to have other craft later refuel for long interplanetary voyages. Since the Kerbals don't care about how much money I spend, I figure that's grand. Now the problem is I would like to be able to use a sort of "Tug Boat" ship to move my modules around and link them up. I keep trying to build ships that will let me move laterally in space but so far all I do is rotate or roll. RCS's are giving me a fit. I suspect this is about a center of gravity issue and I don't see this problem going away. If I were to get my "Tug Boat" balanced nicely, whenever I would connect to something in space I am quite sure that will screw up the COG up again and start this mess over. Any suggestions? Are you aware of anyone or anything used to solve this issue? Thanks and Launch Safe, FlyMario
  4. Ok... so I love this plugin and can't wait to see what else people come up with. And it is not cheating... like I need to tilt at 10k and fly at course 090° manually during each flight manually... That's like saying using a calculator is cheating at math. Well... got that off my chest. Whew... feel a lot better. Thanks for listening.
  5. First of all let me say That this game is the most brilliant game I have seen in many years. I guess game is not so much true as Simulation. Either way... you are developing a Fan Boy here. I have landed on the Mun and Minmus. Btw, minmus looks a ton like a Green snowball... Building the rockets and watching them sucessfully fly (or not) is incredible. As a C# programmer I do plan on making some mods but right now I am so damned happy building crafts. Anyways, Hi and hope you all are enjoying the ga... sim as much as I am FlyMario
