  1. Certainly wasn't today but this weekend I put some RemoteTech satellite into geosync orbit around the planet. I have one left to put into a polar orbit just because I like overkill.
  2. I have a failproof abort system that is used for every craft. I call it, "The Impact Crater." Sadly the few manned missions that make use of the abort system rarely survive but my crack team of engineers present this data to the public saying, "The abort system is over 98% effective!" Seriously though.. Every manned mission has a parachute and docking port. If something during launch renders this inoperable, see note above on abort system
  3. Mecjeb is fail. Do it on your own the first time. Once you understand the process then you can use shortcuts to make it easier. Vexx
  4. o/ throw me in the boat with wanting a donation button on the website.... There is a line between what could/should be in a game and where to draw the line for what is in initial release and what is DLC is difficult to define. Personally I think Squad is awesome and I would gladly give them monies for expansion type content. I do not know how to define what this is, but I will gladly throw monies at it! Vexx
  5. Docking... Dear God docking. When you are learning how to dock use a VERY light ship, command module and RCS fuel with a docking port attached at either the front or the back. Don't try to do sideways docking on your first few attempts. Keep your station designs as simple as possible. Trying to dock something heavy with 10FPS is VERY difficult even if you get good at docking. Vexx PS: The first time you successfully dock something will feel like the greatest accomplishment of your life. lol
  6. So I have recently got the hang of putting things in orbit and I decided to try and reach the Mun. Built a simple lander, loaded it up with fuel, and headed off. The good news was that I indeed landed on the Mun. The bad news was that I landed improperly and caused an explosion that destroyed everything but the capsule. Trying to stay in the spirit of the game I decided on a rescue mission rather than ending the flight. The next two vehicles I produced managed to kill both pilots while attempting to get into a Munar(sp?) orbit. The third vehicle managed to land on the Mun safely \o/ but had a questionable amount of fuel for return flight. I tried it anyway and didn't quite make it into orbit around the Mun and impacted the surface at 300m/s. TLDR My initial attempt for the moon cost three lives. The rescue attempt cost me 5 more. Space is hard.
  7. I discovered this game a few weeks ago and I am insanely hooked. I discuss it with friends at work quite frequently (the nerds anyway) and I think I will cause a few more people to buy and play the game. lol. KSP is a rare gem in games these days in that it is an ACTUAL CHALLENGE. +2 points dev team. Vexx
