[Writing] KSP Short Story

One day in space on course to the moon Jebidiah Kerman Started the Command Pod\'s computer and started playing a game.

'What\'s that?' Bob said with a curios tone to his voice.

'Oh it\'s just this game called Human Space Program.'

'Really? sounds interesting. How do you play?'

'Well it\'s Pretty Simple. You manage this space program on the alien world called Earth. And you design rockets, go to varios planets and moons.'

'Why are their Mun\'s spelled with two O\'s?'

'Because their really weird.'

'can I play' said Bob with a bit of a hopeful tone.

'sure'

Jeb handed Bob the keyboard and mouse and Bob started playing. A few hours later Bill Broke the silence.

'Hey... uh guys?' Said Bill with an anxious Voice 'we\'re getting close to the Mun.'

'Not now' Said Bob, Still focused on his game.

'Okay i guess it can wait...'

A few more hours went by and Mostly all that happened was Bob was Obsessing over the game and Jeb was trying to help but Could not offer much assistance Because he was still fairly New it it too.

'Guy\'s We need to start our burn. We\'re getting close to the surface.' said bill, sounding Really worried.

'Fine.' said Bob as he Started to maneuver the Ship into a low orbit. 'There, now we cant crash.'

Several more hours passed and it Which was mostly Floating around a Command pod Listening to Bob crash ships in Human Space Program. When the Radio broke the silence.

'This is Kerbin, have you landed yet?' Said the voice on the radio.

'That is a Negative. We are receiving so Weird Readings from the onboard Muon Detectors.' Said Jeb. Lying to hide the fact that he had been Playing a game. 'Probably Just some minor interference. So We should be Landing soon.'

'Okay. But that lander is worth more than all three of your combined salaries.'

'Roger that. Over and Out.'

He went Back to playing HSP with Bob, When Bob accidentally Bumped the Throttle just enough to lower their orbit. Bob Just turned the Throttle off and went back to playing. Then a little while Later Bill spoke up.

'Hey. out Altitude is really low, wait. according to the orbital computer, Were gonna crash. Bob! Start The Landing Procedure!.' Said Bill sounding Very Worried.

'What?' said Bob. Bill showed him the Data. 'Oh Shoot!'

He started the Burn, But it was Too Late. They were going too fast. They Crashed on the Muner Surface. The next morning Bob awoke in his bed at the Space center and went to the cafeteria to get some Breakfast.

'Morning.' Jeb said. 'So i just got De-briefed on our mission status About our last mission this morning and i have bad news and worse news. The Bad news is that Because we were distracted from completing a proper Mun landing. We are gonna have to pay for the rocket we destroyed on the mun.'

'What could be worse than that?' Bob asked.

'The command Module was destroyed in the crash so the computer was lost. so all our progress on Human Space program was lost'

' NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' Exclaimed Bob 'All My Ships!!!!! Gone! Why?! Oh Great Kerman! Why!?

well it\'s kinda like when you play a game alot you get used to calling somthing by that pronunciation. like because i play KSP all the time i pronounce Moon, Mun... its just sort of a habbit

because they have to be able to support themselves in their normal life.

but kerbals, why do THEY have to get paid? jeb dosent, he just does it for fun, bill and bob tho, yeah they must make alot of kennies in order to still be flying.

i would think so. i think jeb at least gets minimum wage. but bob and bill.... they have to be paid and extra 20 and hour just to put up with jeb....
