many CTD with 1.1.3 , but no one I had with beta versions

Recommended Posts

I bought KSP when it was at 0.6 version, then I played 0.7,  the game was stable, almost never crashed when running without mods.

After playing in happiness for a while (60 hours) whit this wonderful game, I decided to stop playing to wait for 1.0 release version, then futhermore I decided to wait for 1.1. Now finally I come back to KSP to play the latest version (1.1.3), but it very frequently crashes to desktop when loading, for example when loading to go to VAB

I seem: the more the textures size, the more the crashes, but it crashes even with smallest size

I'm using KSP on steam, my PC system:

  • windows 8 32 bit
  • 3 gb ram
  • ati radeon HD4600
  • AMD athlon 64 X2 4800+ 2.7 ghz

installation of KSP is fresh, no mods.

here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/83211-known-issues-amp-self-help/ I have read this:

32-bit operating system with a multicore processor

The game engine that KSP runs on (Unity) has an issue with memory allocation using a 32bit OS on a multicore CPU. This issue causes at least 50% of all crashes on Windows so it's definitely worth checking. Click this link to see how you check if you're running on a 32 or 64 bit operating system, to check if you have a multicore processor open Device Manager and look under processors: if more than one is listed you have a multi-core processor. KSP Will most likely not run properly if you find that you have a 32 bit operating system and a multi-core processor. If you run KSP on such a configuration it will try to allocate RAM that is either in use or does not exist causing frequent random crashes, this can be solved in three different ways.

but beta versions were stable with this PC, so I don't understand.   (I was using windows 7 when playing beta versions, but still 32 bit)

here are some log files of crashes: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/mh7a9zf0omlwlog/AADd7cKD8tW8HhlzHo1dG-oKa?dl=0
