sfs file parameters: position and rotattion

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I have a slight problem with my newly founded Minmus base: A part has been displaced ever so slightly during save/load (0.5 m or so). Everything around it is in the original position, so I would like to edit the savefile to restore the original position.

Once I found the module, I notice three coordinates for position and four for rotation. I would be very grateful if anyone could explain what the reference and scale of the coordinates. They are relative to the root part, but how are their orientation? And what is the rotation parameters based on?

Thanks in advance.

This might help you in the first instance with "position".  It's from 2014 but I can't see why they would have changed it.

Otherwise you could HE an identical copy to the location.  You've already done the hard bit of manually flying there, you are just suffering from a little load glitch.

This thread might also shed some light:

Good luck!  If in doubt hit it with something :)
