Kethane Engine Help

Hey all, still a noob to KSP but need help with my Kethane-based Mun lander. Got there, got the tanks filled and I can't seem to get the to ignite. Always is "flame out" even though it consumes fuel it provides no thrust. I've searched around, and it seems these engines are supposed to work with no atmosphere, is that perhaps not implemented yet? What am I doing wrong?

I imagine youre using the turbine, which is made for atmospheres... no oxigen, no thrust.

Correct, the kethane jet only works on a planet with an atmosphere, you were wrong however, when it came to oxygen, the kethane jet doesn't need oxygen, just kethane.

Yes it does require intake air. It doesn't matter what kind of air it is.

But you do not have to add a separate air intake. The kethane turbine comes with its own intake.
