  1. My system was a large SRB for getting to the moon, a few smaller ones to slow down enough, landed, then SRB'd my way back. Took hours of physics and launch calculations though, and a design with thrusters would probably be better I guess.
  2. Very unlike mine, where SPEED IS KEY! and wobble is paramount!
  3. I can never seem to build a rocket with a good enough TWR to either do a circulization on the maneuver, even with mechjeb piloting, or to be able to rendezvous... I suck, maybe I just need a smaller rocker? I'm still used to the 0.9 pea soup
  4. Yep, I went and stuck a load of reaction wheels to a tiny little engine, it flew higher than every other spaceplane I built on my own to date. 'Nuff said!
  5. Well, I usually just stick the tourist on a SRB and time it so the tourist 'usually' survives
  6. I started doing that when I accidently set my command pod's chute to come out when I was still burning in. I had started a new science save and almost lost valentina on the first flight out of atmosphere!
  7. thanks loads for this, it'll be so useful... Now if I could just make my lifter do a circularization burn before it falls back into the atmosphere.

  9. Hi, I love mechjeb, and before 1.0 used it for near everything. Having said that, now that 1.0 is out, I want to use it for maneuver calculation and things like that, but it's going to be too hard for me to resist using the autopilot feature. Would it be at all possible to have a version without the autopilots? just maneuvers and dv requirements and stuff like that?
  10. I can barely fly a stock ship to orbit, I can't do anything well without mechjeb. Why do I suck so terrible, I've been playing since 0.24.2
  11. Okay, I didn't know that, I only would use steam for broadcasting or workshop, maybe move curse stuff to workshop or at least mirror it
  12. I think there are ways you can have your non steam one deactivated and be given a key for steam

Makes sense, my only problem with steam modding is you have to download the mods every time you load a world. and it seems to me that server connections thru steam would be slow. so maybe find the server with steam and then directly connect to it? (I hate it when I disagree with my own ideas sometimes)
  15. Yeah, Maybe squad can get tehgimp666's permission and build off of that to get a head start.
  16. Steam has it set up so if a server has steam workshop supported mods, the client will download those mods instead of you having to download mods for a server manually, and have a server finder too?
